Banana Nut Bread Recipe

Ingredients needed to make Banana Nut Bread:

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar

3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

1/3 cup milk
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 egg

3 bananas (mashed)
1 cup copped nuts

Preparation Instructions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees.

Grease the bottom of one 9X5 inch pan, or you can use 2 smaller loaf pans. Combine all of the needed ingredients and beat for about one minute. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 60 to 65 minutes.

The bread is done when you can insert a toothpick into the thickest part and it comes out clean.

Banana bread can be wrapped in plastic wrap and stored in the refrigerator for as long as one week.

If you don’t have all purpose flour, you can substitute self rising flour. But, you need to omit the salt and baking powder if you do. Over ripe bananas work best when making banana nut bread, but they should only be slightly brown.
